With a 5-2 win over the lowly Sharks the Tigers remind in a tie with the Bears for 2 nd place in the league.
After hammering the Rhinos in the morning match 5-0 the Sharks were hoping for an easy evening game with the short benched Tigers. What they ran into was another Oz-some display by keeper John Osmar.
Osmar, the games 1 st Star, stood on his head time and time again, as, for the second game in a row the Tigers stopper showed his worth as the league top drafted goalie. The Tigers needed Osmar to come up large on several occasions, especially while D-man Tommy Sullivan sat in the sin bin for two separate moments of insanity.
The Tigers, lead by Jeff‘TC’Millard’s, 2 nd Star, five point night (2G 3A) and Taiwanese star Kevin Yu’s, 3 rd Star, first hat-trick of the season didn’t get many shots, but made use of their chances.
The Sharks, coming off a morning match embarrassing a hung-over Rhinos team, had many opportunities to run away with the match. With the majority of the scoring opportunities, PP’s and longer bench, the Sharks had a lot of pressure on the Tigers, but were not able to beat Osmar.
Now the Sharks sit one from the bottom while the Tigers share second spot.
