The Sharks won a decisive game on Sunday against the 2 nd place T igers 6-1. However, the Tigers were without Tommy Sullivan (suspended); Kevin Yu (unknown reasons) and top drafted goalie John Osmar (playing out).
The first period was a close contest with both teams sharing equal possession of the puck and having a similar number of scoring chances. The S harks were the only team to get on the board in the first with the shot of the game coming as a slapper in the slot by Matt Stever( 2G 1A).
Low numbers and the weaker than normal line-up of the Tigers started to show in the second and third. The Sharks were able to move the puck at will and on three occasions drove the puck around the T igers last D-man , walk ing around replacement goalie, Peter Ko, for easy goal s .
The most impressive play was of that by the Skarks Super 5, Hubert Li, Peter Wu, Howard Bai, Alex Peng, and all Kevin Lu. Mid-way thought the third frame Lu (1-0) took a pas s from Mossing at his owe blue nine and carried the puck around the guilty by - standers.
Greg Macintosh was impressive in goal for the Sharks allowing only one to get past him, oddly enough assisted by Tigers regular starter, Osmar.
Three Stars.
